Passengers transiting from Lagos to other destinations in Africa and beyond now have a more convenient arrangement as Air Peace commences transit flights through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos to various regional and international cities.

The airline made the disclosure in a statement on Friday.

According to Air Peace, the transit hub, which is the first in Nigeria, was created in conjunction with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) at MMIA.

The airline listed the transit international flights as: Accra-Mumbai-Accra, Accra-Jeddah-Accra, Accra-Johannesburg-Accra, Dakar-Jeddah and Dakar-Mumbai.

The transit regional flights are: Accra-Freetown-Accra, Accra-Douala-Accra, Monrovia-Lome-Monrovia, Accra-Dakar-Accra, Lome-Accra-Lome and Accra-Banjul-Accra.

“Now, passengers from other countries can fly Air Peace to international and regional destinations through converging on Lagos from where they are flown to those destinations seamlessly without leaving the airport”, the release said.

The airline emphasised that it will continue to innovate in its flight service delivery, ensuring that its customers get the best experience across all touchpoints while adding that strategic connectivity across key domestic, regional and international cities remains a major part of its ambition.

Air Peace recently announced securing a permit to fly into the United Kingdom. The airline said plans were afoot to officially launch the destination very soon after it kicked off direct flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in October.
