Nigeria’s flagship carrier, Air Peace, is set to make history again with the launch of monthly commercial flights between Lagos, Accra, Antigua, and Barbados, starting December 21, 2025.
The new service marks a major milestone in the airline’s expansion strategy, establishing the first direct air link from West and Central Africa to the Caribbean.
The route is expected to boost tourism, trade, and cultural ties between Africa and the Caribbean, two regions deeply connected by shared heritage and history.
“This new route underscores Air Peace’s commitment to expanding Africa’s global connectivity.
“We are proud to pioneer this bridge between Africa and the Caribbean—creating new gateways for business, leisure, and cultural exchange,” the airline said in a statement.
The carrier’s latest expansion builds on its successful Lagos–Montego Bay (Jamaica) charter in 2020 and the Abuja–St. Kitts & Nevis service earlier in 2025.
According to the airline, the new flights reflect its long-term vision to “bridge continents and strengthen interregional travel for Africans and their diaspora.”
To enhance the travel experience, Air Peace has partnered with leading tour operators, including Tour Brokers International (Nigeria), Sun Seekers Tours (Ghana), and Adansi Travels (Ghana), to design exclusive tour packages for travelers eager to explore the Caribbean.
“Beyond just flights, this partnership offers travelers complete holiday experiences—combining convenience, culture, and comfort,” an Air Peace spokesperson added.
Tickets for the Antigua and Barbados route are now available on the airline’s website, www.flyairpeace.com, and through accredited travel agents.
Air Peace currently operates over 20 domestic, 10 regional, and 8 international routes, including London, Dubai, Jeddah, Johannesburg, and Mumbai.
The airline boasts one of the most modern fleets in Africa, featuring Boeing 777s, Airbus A330s, Embraer 195-E2s, and Boeing 737s, all maintained to world-class safety standards.
“With every new route, Air Peace reaffirms its mission to provide safe, reliable, and affordable air travel while positioning Nigeria as a key hub for intercontinental connectivity,” the statement concluded.
The new Caribbean service is seen as a bold step in redefining Africa’s place in global aviation and reconnecting the diaspora through the skies.
