Air Peace is set to resume direct non-stop flights from Lagos to the Caribbean, restoring a key air bridge between West Africa and the diaspora after a hiatus.
The airline announced that the monthly service, scheduled to commence on May 24, 2026, will operate from Lagos to Barbados with a stop in Antigua.
It will be the only direct connection from West and Central Africa to the Caribbean, offering passengers a seamless travel option for business, tourism, and family visits.
According to the published schedule, flights will depart Lagos at 06:00, arriving Antigua at 15:00, before continuing to Barbados at 16:30 and landing at 17:50.
The return leg departs Barbados at 13:00, stops in Antigua at 14:20, and proceeds to Lagos at 15:50, arriving 01:50 the following day.
The carrier said the route underscores its commitment to bridging continents and deepening economic, cultural, and tourism ties between Nigeria and Caribbean nations.
Industry observers say the development could unlock new trade opportunities and ease long-standing travel constraints faced by Nigerians and Caribbean nationals seeking direct connectivity.
Passengers from across the region can connect through Lagos to access the service, positioning the Murtala Muhammed International Airport as a strategic hub for transatlantic travel within Africa.
Tickets for the Lagos–Antigua–Barbados route are already on sale via the airline’s booking platforms and accredited travel agents, with the company urging early reservations due to expected demand.
Air Peace, West Africa’s largest airline, operates an expanding network of domestic, regional, and international routes, and continues to push for broader global connectivity anchored on safety and reliability.
