As Nigeria’s harsh economic climate continues to squeeze profit margins in the baking industry, the Premium Breadmakers Association of Nigeria (PBAN) is taking key steps to reposition the sector for growth and profitability.

The association has announced its 3rd Annual PBAN Day-Out, slated for Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the NECA Auditorium, Hakeem Balogun Street, CBD, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.

The event will feature strategic sessions led by industry experts, exhibitions by key sector players, and robust networking aimed at helping bakers overcome challenges such as low productivity and rising operational costs.

PBAN President, Engineer Emmanuel Onuorah, said the initiative reflects the association’s commitment to business sustainability and innovation in the face of economic headwinds.

“This year’s PBAN Day-Out, the third in the series, is expected to draw participants from across the value-added baking sector with a view to turning around the hitherto lull in projections,” Onuorah stated.

He added that the event would prioritise stakeholders’ networking and practical solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.

PBAN, a body of professional entrepreneurs in breadmaking, continues to promote quality, health-conscious products while driving economic empowerment within Nigeria’s thriving food industry.
