Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operators of Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), once again partnered with MBR Signature Events and Entertainment Company and Wema Bank to usher the festive spirit into the terminal.

Welcoming guests to the occasion, Mr. Kola Bamigboye, Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head of Space & Premises Management, expressed delight in hosting the ceremony.

“BASL is pleased to welcome Wema Bank as the official sponsor of this year’s Christmas festivities at MMA2,” he said.

 

He added that MBR Signature, in collaboration with its partners, consistently brings colour, creativity, and warmth to the terminal during the festive season, and that this year’s partnership with Wema Bank elevates the experience for passengers and visitors alike.

“This collaboration exemplifies BASL’s commitment to improving customer experience and creating memorable moments for everyone passing through MMA2 during the Yuletide season,” Mr. Bamigboye noted.

The Christmas Light-Up featured special carols and musical performances, heralding the official start of the festive season at the terminal and creating a warm, joyful ambience for passengers, visitors, and airport users.

As she officially lit the terminal, Mabel Adekeye, Head of Brand and Marketing at Wema Bank, shared the bank’s excitement in bringing the Christmas experience closer to the travelling public.

“We are delighted to partner with BASL and MBR Signature to make this festive season special for passengers. Our commitment is to enhance customer experience through meaningful engagements,” she said.

In his remarks, Mr. Remi Jibodu, Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head of Aeronautics & Cargo Services, appreciated airlines and passengers who have supported BASL throughout the year.

“It is for them that BASL pauses at this time of the year to reflect and celebrate, symbolically lighting up the terminal for the Yuletide season. ‘Detty December’ truly begins here at MMA2, the gateway to the festive experience,” he said.

He further acknowledged that the enduring partnership with MBR Signature enabled the collaboration with Wema Bank, which generously sponsored the Christmas decorations and festivities within the terminal.

Also speaking, Olutayo Oladipo, Group Head of High-Value Segment & Diaspora Banking at Wema Bank, expressed excitement for “Detty December” and highlighted the bank’s festive campaign at the airport.

She encouraged passengers to enjoy the season while practising responsible financial habits, reaffirming Wema Bank’s commitment to providing innovative financial solutions during the holidays.
