The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has proudly announced the elevation of Mrs.

Ijeoma Blessing Nwosu-Igbo and Mrs. Christabel Ebanehita Eromosele to the esteemed positions of General Manager, Public Affairs, and General Manager, Protocol and Passages, respectively.

The milestone, confirmed by an electronic document from FAAN’s Directorate of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, marks the beginning of their roles from June 2024, following their exceptional performance in the mandatory management promotion examinations.

Mrs. Nwosu-Igbo and Mrs. Eromosele have long been the driving forces behind FAAN’s Public Affairs department, skillfully managing the organization’s image and elevating it to a prominent status among Africa’s airport management agencies.

Mrs. Nwosu-Igbo has been a part of FAAN since 2002, starting her journey as a Senior Public Affairs Officer.

Her distinguished career includes serving as Acting General Manager since December 2023.

She holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), and an MBA from the University of Calabar.

A member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and a prolific writer, Nwosu-Igbo has overseen FAAN’s in-house publication, NEWSTRACK, as Managing Editor since 2018. Her passion for singing and choral performance has taken her to stages both locally and internationally, adding a melodic touch to her professional narrative.

Similarly, Mrs. Eromosele, before her confirmation, served as Acting General Manager, Protocol and Passages, starting from January 2024. A 1991 graduate of English Language from Ambrose Alli University, she also holds a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos.

Joining FAAN in 1993 as a Grade Level 8 officer, Eromosele’s dedication and professionalism saw her rise through the ranks.

She is affiliated with several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria, Council for International Protocol Professionals, and Association of Certified Protocol Professionals in Nigeria.

Eromosele has enriched her career through participation in various management committees and professional training programs worldwide.

Her credentials include the Public Relations Theory and Practice Course by GTC Group in London (2010), the Business Leadership and Diplomatic Protocol Course by the European School of Protocol in London (2018), and the African Public Relations Association (APRA) Conference in Kigali, Rwanda (2019).

Additionally, she attended the ACI-Development in Customer Services Culture at Airports in Lagos and the Crisis Communication Course sponsored by the UK Government in 2021.

The promotions of Mrs. Nwosu-Igbo and Mrs. Eromosele signify FAAN’s commitment to professional excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring that Nigeria’s airports uphold the highest international standards.
