Nigeria’s transport infrastructure will take the spotlight on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, as industry stakeholders gather in Lagos for the maiden JustNet News Transport Summit.

The event, which will be held at the Providence Hotel, GRA Ikeja, is expected to provide a platform for robust conversations on innovation, sustainability, and the future of the sector.

Organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News, an online platform with strong focus on aviation, maritime, waterways, rail, and road transport, the summit is themed “Nigeria’s Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future.”

In a statement announcing the event, the Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Ltd, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, said the summit was conceived to bring together experts, professionals, and policymakers from across all modes of transportation for a holistic review of the sector’s infrastructural challenges.

“The idea is to gather experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to share knowledge, best industry practices and standards, and proffer innovative solutions to address the challenges facing Nigeria’s transport infrastructure,” Ngwama said.

She noted that the discussions will cut across aviation, maritime, waterways, road, and rail transport—sectors that are critical to Nigeria’s economic development.

According to her, the initiative is part of JustAlive Communication’s commitment to advancing conversations that support national growth.

“This summit will provide a platform for experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to share knowledge, best practices, and explore innovative solutions for the future of Nigeria’s transport infrastructure,” she added.

Ngwama further stressed the importance of transportation as a backbone of economic growth.

“Transportation is a catalyst to the development of every economy considering its importance and enormous contributions to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the global economy,” she said.

With infrastructure gaps, policy bottlenecks, and funding challenges still hindering Nigeria’s transportation sector, stakeholders say the summit could not have come at a better time.

The event is expected to generate practical ideas and policy directions that will help reposition the nation’s transport system for efficiency and sustainability.
