In a significant stride towards enhancing organizational culture and operational efficiency, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched its highly-anticipated Acculturation Programme.
The initiative aims to instill a culture of excellence, integrity, and efficiency within the organization.
During the launch event, FAAN’s Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, underscored the programme’s importance in creating a work environment that prioritizes high standards and ethical practices.
“Our goal is to cultivate an atmosphere where excellence and efficiency are not just encouraged but are integral to our daily operations.
“This programme is a testament to our unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence,” Kuku stated.
The Acculturation Programme, spearheaded by the Director of Special Duties, Mr. Henry Agbebire, features a comprehensive culture change training for all FAAN staff.
Central to this initiative is the newly introduced handbook, *Flight to Excellence*, which serves as a detailed guide for employees on the principles and practices that underpin the organization’s new cultural direction.
The handbook is designed to be a vital resource, helping staff navigate the transformative journey towards a more efficient and excellence-driven FAAN.
Additionally, FAAN has introduced *Skyward Shift*, a monthly bulletin intended to keep staff informed, inspired, and motivated.
This publication according to Kuku will feature updates, success stories, and practical tips to help employees embrace the new cultural changes.
To further encourage outstanding performance, FAAN has also launched the MD’s Monthly Prize and Award for Excellence and Productivity.
She noted that, this initiative aims to recognize and reward employees who demonstrate exceptional dedication, creativity, and productivity in their roles.
Kuku passionately urged all staff members to fully engage with the training sessions and embrace the materials provided.
“Change is never easy, but it is a necessary step for growth and progress. I have full confidence in our team’s ability to drive FAAN’s vision forward, exceeding stakeholder and passenger expectations,” she remarked.
Through the Acculturation Programme, FAAN aspires to not only meet but surpass the expectations of its stakeholders and passengers, establishing itself as a leader in the global aviation industry.
The FAAN boss said this bold initiative marks a new chapter for FAAN, one that promises enhanced service delivery, operational excellence, and a stronger organizational identity.
She added that with these strategic moves, FAAN is well on its way to positioning itself at the forefront of the global aviation community, setting new benchmarks for excellence and efficiency in airport management and operations.
