The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has restated its firm commitment to transparent, fair and regulation-driven employment processes, assuring staff, stakeholders, and the general public that its operations remain anchored on professionalism and due process.

According to the Authority, every step in its recruitment, placement and career progression structure is guided by clear statutory rules designed to uphold equity, competence, and operational efficiency.

FAAN emphasized that it has never deviated, and will not deviate, from frameworks that guarantee merit-based advancement across all levels of staff.

Reinforcing this stance, the Managing Director recently ordered a fresh internal review of employment-related issues that were brought to management’s attention.

The exercise aims to strengthen clarity, ensure uniform policy application, and rebuild confidence in the systems that govern staff movement.

The review will also help identify gaps, streamline processes, and reinforce structures that support long-term organizational stability.

FAAN stressed that at no point has any employee been asked or pressured to alter, downgrade, or conceal their qualifications.

All recruitment procedures, the Authority noted, are driven strictly by advertised roles, stated qualifications at the time of application, and voluntary submissions from applicants.

Where policy adjustments later become necessary, FAAN ensures such changes are handled responsibly and in full alignment with public service standards.

The Authority further reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy on workplace misconduct, covering harassment, intimidation, discrimination, and abuse of office.

Its reporting and investigative channels, the statement noted, remain active, confidential, and robust enough to protect every staff member’s dignity.

Adding that, any behaviour that conflicts with FAAN’s values is promptly investigated and addressed through established disciplinary procedures.

FAAN restated its commitment to nurturing a work environment that rewards integrity, respects hierarchy, supports career growth, and upholds professionalism across all critical units, including Aviation Security (AVSEC), Aviation Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS), and other essential departments.

Management expressed appreciation for the dedication of its staff and encouraged sustained dialogue, cooperation, and adherence to due process as FAAN continues its transformation into a world-class airport service provider.
