The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has achieved a major milestone, earning dual ISO certifications that place the country’s airports among the world’s elite.

The Authority secured ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management and ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management, awarded by MSECB, Canada, following an independent audit of its systems and operations.

The certifications confirm that FAAN’s operational processes meet stringent international standards for efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility.

They also underscore the Authority’s dedication to delivering customer-focused airport services while promoting sustainable practices across all FAAN-managed facilities.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to world-class service and sustainable operations,” FAAN said, acknowledging the support of stakeholders and the professionalism of its workforce.

By attaining these globally recognised standards, FAAN not only strengthens the credibility of Nigeria’s airports but also enhances their competitiveness on the international aviation stage.

The Authority reaffirmed its pledge to continuous improvement, ensuring that passengers and business partners experience operations that meet global benchmarks at every touchpoint.

The dual ISO certification is a landmark in Nigeria’s aviation journey, signalling a new era where quality, safety, and environmental stewardship define airport services across the country.
