Green Africa Airlines has announced the acquisition of an additional aircraft (ATR72-500) in its fleet.
The airline said in a statement that the new addition was a damp lease in partnership with Jump Air to “offer Green Africa bridge capacity to grow its fleet to four aircraft and support the airline’s planned expansion.”
Subject to regulatory approvals, the additional aircraft is expected to be put into service during the third quarter of 2023.
In the statement, founder & CEO of the airline, Babawande Afolabi said, “Green Africa is on track for its next phase of growth. We are pleased to welcome the aircraft from Jump Air which will help strengthen some of our existing routes while also spreading the reach of Green Africa to serve customers across the country.”
The Accountable Manager of Jump Air, Dovydas Jurgelevicius said “Green Africa has built a strong foundation since entering service in 2021. We are proud to support Green Africa’s expansion as it celebrates its first two years of operation.”
