Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo has given marching orders to a committee he set up to produce a blue print within four weeks on revenue generation and improvement by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
In a statement from FAAN, the marching order was given in the course of receiving briefing from the FAAN management on Friday September 1, 2023.
Keyamo was quoted to have observed that “there are so many potential opportunities for ramping up the revenue profile of the agency (FAAN).”
To this end, the minister directed that these sources of revenue be explored to the fullest.
Accordingly, he set up a committee under the chairmanship of the permanent secretary to look at: advertisements at the Airports, ticketing system at the FAAN facilities and waivers on payment of FAAN services.
The committee was given four weeks to come up with a comprehensive report and proffer solution.
