The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (nahco aviance) has once again been selected as the preferred handler by two international airlines; Lufthansa and Royal Air Maroc.
This decision attests to NAHCO’s exceptional service delivery.
Both airlines have signed five-year contracts with NAHCO. Lufthansa, a leading European carrier, has its contract spanning from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2029. Royal Air Maroc’s contracts cover both Lagos and Abuja destinations, also running from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2029.
Prince Saheed Lasisi, Group Executive Director of Commercial and Business Development at NAHCO Plc, highlighted that these new contracts coincide with NAHCO’s significant capacity expansion through recent investments in Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
He stated, “Lufthansa and Royal Air Maroc have made the right decision in staying with NAHCO, the largest handling provider in the country. We have recently taken delivery of billions of naira worth of equipment to service these valued partners. It is a thrilling development.”
Mr. Indranil Gupta, Group Managing Director and CEO of NAHCO Plc, expressed his enthusiasm for the new contracts, emphasizing the strength of these partnerships.
He assured the airlines of continued exceptional service delivery, saying, “We are always happy to serve clients who depend on us to further grow their businesses. We will always go the extra mile to ensure that we support them in keeping their promises to their clients to offer the best service.”
The CEO also noted the company’s focus on manpower development and equipment acquisition to provide unmatched service. Recently, NAHCO deployed several newly purchased pieces of equipment to various stations.
This includes pushbacks, Ground Power Units, Aircraft Cooling Units, Aircraft Air Start Units, tractors, reach trucks, forklifts, cargo and baggage carts, and pallet dollies.
This deployment marks the beginning of a series of equipment replacements, aiming for an ambitious target of surplus GSE within two years.
