NiMet clinched the “Best Federal MDA in Open Data Excellence” award for its exceptional performance in data transparency, innovation, and digital transformation in public service delivery.

Professor Anosike also bagged the Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer’s Award, recognising his visionary leadership in advancing GovTech initiatives and promoting digital governance in line with the Federal Government’s digital transformation agenda.

According to BPSR, the award celebrates NiMet’s “commitment to openness, accuracy, and the use of data to improve public service outcomes,” while acknowledging Anosike’s role in driving a culture of innovation and accountability within the agency.

The recognition, he added, reinforces NiMet’s resolve to position itself among the world’s leading meteorological agencies through innovation and technological excellence.
