Nwokoji Foundation, a non-governmental and non-profit organization, with the slogan “ Lifting Humanity” has reiterated its commitment to lift humanity and create a global impact in the lives of the less privileged and the vulnerable in society.
According to the president of the foundation, Doctor Matthew Nwokoji who was represented by the coordinator Comrade Solomon Alaba led a team of volunteers, during the week-long activities of the Foundation at Rafiki Children Home, Ungwan Rimi Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, of Kaduna State.
Speaking to the participants and volunteers, he said that the Foundation’s vision is to lift humanity, create a global impact on the lives of the people, vulnerable people in the society, offer succour in the form of food as well as provide scholarships, job opportunities, and Health care delivery.
He added that the Foundation is also into digital training, creating Health care Centers, advocacy for the vulnerable Children, youths, women and people in the communities in addition to creating awareness on drug abuse and other social vices.
The president of the foundation, who has been a Professor of Criminology and Security Studies in Georgia, United States of America for more than three decades has dedicated his life to impacting positively in the lives of many.
The University don, Matthew Nwokoji has always airmed at lifting humanity by ensuring that all people, all classes of humanity are given the opportunity to achieve their goals, which prompted him to offer assistance in the form of Scholarships, financial assistance and succour in different life endeavors.
He thanked everyone who participates in the Kaduna branch of the program for making it a huge success, especially for contributing their quota in taking humanity to the next level of development.
While admonishing the people to give the Foundation all the support it will need, he, therefore, appeals to the public to give toward lifting humanity through the NGO, (Dr. Nwokoji Foundation Trust-Fund) saying that Dr. Nwokoji Foundation will go a long way in touching lives and a lot of the needy.
Early in his remark, the Proprietor of Rafiki Children Home Datiyong Cornelius Sam commended the team of Dr Nwokoji Foundation for its kind gesture to the children of the Home.
Datiyong thanked Matthew Nwokoji for his kind gesture to humanity and to their home especially on the free digital skills training the foundation has been offering, which has enabled them to be able to write the JAMB examination without challenges.
Datiyong observed that orphans and the vulnerable in society are a group of people that are mostly neglected was the reason the home decided and made it a point of duty to provide 3 basic training to the children at the home which included; educationally, spiritual and skillfully.
He said the children are been provided with pre-primary to primary Six education, while those that attend Secondary School are sponsored to other schools, owing to the fact that the home doesn’t have provision for secondary School education.
The Proprietor added that with the required support, the home will go a long way in providing necessary training for orphans and the vulnerable to achieve a lot geared towards improving their lives just like other children in the communities.
He said the Home was established by a Missionary in collaboration with Evangelical Churches Winning All (ECWA) to cater for the orphans and the vulnerable in society.
The high point of the activities includes career guidance, games and presentation of items which include Spaghetti, noodles, sanitary pads, biscuits, and soft drinks.
The Mbaise-born care-giver earned a doctorate degree in Human Services with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Walden University, USA.
Dr Matthew Nwokoji, hailed from Ahiazu Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria. He is happily married with Children, his journey in life inspired him to help the less privileged
