Overland Airways has added another global badge of honour to its record, clinching the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certification in a move that accentuates its commitment to safety, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The certification, awarded after months of detailed audits and compliance checks aligned with standards set by the International Organization for Standardization, was formally presented at a ceremony held at the airline’s Lagos head office on February 17, 2026.

For the carrier, the milestone is more than a certificate on the wall, it is a validation of systems designed to deliver consistent service excellence.

In her opening remarks, Chief Administrative Officer and ISO Champion, Mrs. Aanu Benson, described the achievement as evidence that quality management is now firmly embedded across the airline’s operations.

The presentation was led by Mr. Noruwa Edokpolo, Managing Director of NECA’s Global, alongside auditor Miss Ibukun Ajala, following the successful completion of the rigorous assessment process.

Industry consultant, Mr. Williams Onwuka of Fine Spectra Consult, commended the airline’s discipline and structured approach throughout the certification journey.

Delivering the closing remarks, Managing Director, Captain Edward Boyo, highlighted the strategic value of the accomplishment.

“This is a valuable, powerful certification that will guide us going forward. For us, it is more than a principle, it is a way of life,” he said.

Executive Director, Mrs. Aduke Atiba, offered a vote of thanks, applauding staff and partners whose collaboration made the achievement possible.

The ISO 9001:2015 certification complements the airline’s 11-year IOSA certification and its membership of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), further cementing its alignment with internationally recognised safety and operational benchmarks.

With the recent reintroduction of Ibadan, Warri and Minna routes, Overland Airways says the strengthened quality framework will support its expansion drive while sustaining reliable, safe and customer-focused services across Nigeria and the region.
