For the umpteenth time, the Chairman of SIFAX Group, Barrister Dr. Taiwo Afolabi (CON), has been bestowed with the prestigious Aviation Industry Investor’s Award.
The latest accolade came at the 14th edition of the Nigeria Aviation (NIGAV) Awards and Ministerial Dinner, an event widely regarded as the most distinguished celebration of excellence within the country’s aviation sector.
In a double recognition of excellence, Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) PLC, a subsidiary under Dr. Afolabi’s leadership, also clinched the coveted Aircraft Handling Service Achievement Award, affirming its standing as one of Nigeria’s top-tier aviation support service providers.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Fortune Idu, Founder and Convener of the NIGAV Awards, emphasized the broader mission of the initiative.

“His footprint is visible across marine, aviation, transportation, hospitality, and tourism. He has been instrumental in building one of the best ground handling companies in Africa,” he said.
He added that SAHCO PLC continues to be a frontrunner in Nigeria’s ground handling space, known for its cutting-edge facilities, commitment to international best practices, and a workforce of highly trained professionals.
The company, he added, provides seamless operations across all commercially operated airports in the country, reinforcing its role as a critical enabler of safe and efficient air transport.
