Stakeholders across Nigeria’s transport sector are set to converge in Lagos for the maiden Transport Infrastructure Summit organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, aimed at charting a new course for sustainable development in the nation’s transport ecosystem.

The one-day dialogue, scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at The Providence Hotel, GRA Ikeja, is already generating excitement among industry players, regulators, policymakers, and operators who see it as a crucial platform for transformative engagement.

The summit, themed “Nigeria’s Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future,” will be chaired by Mr. Fola Tinubu, Managing Director of Primero Transport Services, operators of Lagos’ Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system.

The keynote address will be delivered by Professional Bamidele Badejo, a respected transport scholar and former Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation.

Professor  Badejo, who also holds the Lagos State Government Professorial Chair in Transport Studies at the Lagos State University, is expected to deliver deep insights on “The Future of Transportation in Nigeria: Trends, Challenges and Opportunities.”

A Fellow of multiple professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (London) and the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (FNITP), Badejo brings decades of expertise and research-driven perspective to the forum.

Also billed to speak are Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director/CEO of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and Dr. Segun Musa, Chairman/CEO of Global Transport Policy (GTP), both of whom will deliver incisive papers on infrastructure innovation and multimodal connectivity.

The panel discussion will feature top industry leaders, including Captain  Ado Sanusi, Managing Director of Aero Contractors; Captain Samuel Caulcrick, former Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria; Remi Jibodu, Acting COO of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL); and Alex Nwuba, President of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Nigeria (AOPAN).

Other panellists include Dr. Chizoba Anyika of NIMASA, Mr. Frank Ogunojemite, President of the Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics (APFFON); Dr. Mustapha Azeez, Managing Director of AZ Logistics; and Mr. Frank Kintum, CEO of Transport Day Media.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, Managing Director/CEO of JustAlive Communications Limited, said the event is designed to move beyond rhetoric into measurable outcomes.

“This is not just another talk show. We want to generate actionable policy insights that can shape sustainable infrastructure growth in Nigeria’s transport sector,” she emphasized.
