United Nigeria Airlines has taken a major step toward its November 10, 2025, launch of Abuja–Accra and Lagos–Accra routes by hosting its inaugural Strategic Agency Forum, aimed at deepening collaboration with travel partners and ticketing agents.

Held on Tuesday at Protea Hotel, Lagos, the event attracted top travel agents from across Nigeria, including members of NANTA, alongside representatives from Sabre, Wakanow, American Express Travels, Orih Travels, and other leading industry players.

The forum comes amid United Nigeria Airlines’ fleet expansion, which recently welcomed two Airbus A320-200s and a CRJ-900, serving 14 destinations nationwide, with Accra set to be the airline’s next key international destination.

In her presentation, Head of Business Development and Strategy, Mrs. Ifeoma Ekwerike, highlighted the strategic significance of Accra within the airline’s growth plan.

She noted that the Nigeria–Ghana corridor serves over 240,000 passengers annually, making it one of West Africa’s busiest air routes.

“United Nigeria Airlines is entering the Accra market with reliable schedules, on-time flights, competitive fares, modern aircraft, and attractive incentives for our agents.

“From November 10, we will operate daily non-stop flights from Abuja to Accra and four weekly flights from Lagos to Accra”, she said.

Chief Operating Officer Mazi Osita Okonkwo praised the agents for their partnership and reiterated the airline’s commitment to shared growth, revealing the ongoing acquisition of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft to boost capacity and service quality.

“Our agents are our representatives before the passengers and vital partners in our growth story. The future is bright for United Nigeria Airlines”, Okonkwo said.

He encouraged agents to explore the wide opportunities in Nigeria’s tourism and travel sector.

Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Raphael Uchegbu, wrapped up the forum with a lucky dip draw, awarding several agents return tickets to Accra on the airline’s inaugural flight.

With the forum, United Nigeria Airlines said it has reinforced its mission, “Flying to Unite,” expanding its regional footprint while strengthening relationships with its valued partners.
