In a feat that expands its global reach, United Nigeria Airlines has been formally admitted into the International Air Transport Association Clearing House (ICH), a global financial settlement platform used by airlines worldwide.
The airline announced that the admission, effective for transactions originating from February 1, 2026, places it among a global network of carriers that use the ICH system to settle financial obligations arising from interline operations.

With the new status, the Nigerian carrier will be able to process interline billings covering passenger and cargo transactions through a centralized and secure settlement framework, thereby improving operational efficiency and financial transparency.
According to the airline, “United Nigeria Airlines is proud to announce our official admission into the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Clearing House (ICH), marking a definitive step in our integration into the global aviation financial ecosystem.”
The airline noted that the development strengthens its alignment with international best practices and will support its broader strategy of building partnerships with foreign carriers.
“While ICH membership facilitates seamless financial settlement between carriers, it serves as the foundation for our broader strategy to establish interline and codeshare partnerships,” the airline stated.
The company added that the milestone supports its long-term vision of expanding connectivity and improving passenger experience.
“This development is central to our mission of flying to unite, expand connectivity and provide our passengers with world-class service as we grow our regional and international footprints,” the airline said.
