United Nigeria Airlines has marked a new chapter in its expansion journey with the successful touchdown of its inaugural flight at Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport, Katsina from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The move strengthens local air connectivity and passenger access and the flight was received by Governor Dikko Umar Radda, state officials, traditional rulers, APC leaders and the Igbo community in Kastina State.

On board were the airline’s Founder, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo,; Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (Odumeje); former Katsina State Governor, Bello Masari; APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru; Deputy National Secretary, Barr. Festus Fuanter; National Vice Chairman (North West), Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad; National Vice Chairman (North Central), Muazu Bawa Rijau; National Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Sulieman M. Argungu; Deputy National Financial Secretary, Hon. Hamma’adama Ali Kumo; Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Diro Meseko; Former Minority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Onyebuchi Offor; and Director of Administration, United Nigeria Airlines, Linus Awute, among other dignitaries.

The expansion into Katsina is consistent with the airline’s vision of bolstering local and regional capacities.
