Air Peace has completed the fourth phase of its humanitarian evacuation operation from South Africa, bringing home another 284 Nigerians as part of efforts to evacuate citizens affected by the recent wave of xenophobic attacks in the country.

The airline said the latest evacuation flight was carried out in collaboration with the Federal Government using its Boeing 777-200 wide-body aircraft, further demonstrating its support for national emergency response efforts.

With the latest operation, Air Peace has now evacuated a total of 1,085 Nigerians in four special humanitarian flights.

According to the airline, 262 Nigerians were repatriated on June 11, 271 on June 30, 268 on July 3, while the latest batch of 284 arrived on July 9.

The airline described the exercise as part of its commitment to providing safe and seamless transportation for Nigerians caught in emergencies abroad.

Air Peace said the successful completion of the fourth evacuation flight underscores its readiness to deploy its aircraft and operational resources whenever required to support the country during humanitarian crises.

The carrier noted that the evacuation mission goes beyond transporting passengers, saying it reflects its commitment to compassion, patriotism and ensuring that Nigerians stranded overseas can return home safely during difficult times.

It added that the latest operation further strengthens its record of humanitarian interventions across Africa and other parts of the world.

According to the airline, it has undertaken more than 16 evacuation and relief missions since it began operations, providing support during emergency repatriations, humanitarian crises and other national interventions.

Air Peace reaffirmed its commitment to working with the Federal Government whenever the need arises, stressing that it will continue to leverage its fleet and operational capacity to support humanitarian operations and provide safe passage for Nigerians in distress.

The airline said its mission remains to connect people beyond destinations by restoring hope, reuniting families and standing ready to bring Nigerians home whenever the nation calls.
