Air Peace has successfully completed its third humanitarian evacuation mission from South Africa, airlifting 268 Nigerian nationals back home in collaboration with the Federal Government.

The latest evacuation flight, operated on Thursday with the airline’s Boeing 777-200 wide-body aircraft, was part of ongoing efforts to facilitate the voluntary return of Nigerians affected by recent xenophobic tensions in South Africa.

With the completion of the latest operation, the airline has now evacuated a total of 801 Nigerians across three humanitarian missions.

Air Peace had earlier repatriated 262 Nigerians on June 11, 271 on June 30, and 268 on July 3.

The airline said the milestone reflects its continued commitment to supporting national humanitarian efforts and responding swiftly whenever Nigerians require emergency assistance outside the country.

According to Air Peace, the latest operation once again demonstrated its long-haul operational capability and its partnership with the Federal Government in delivering timely humanitarian interventions for distressed citizens.

The carrier said its role extends beyond commercial air transportation, noting that it remains committed to reconnecting Nigerians with their families and providing a safe route home during periods of crisis and uncertainty.

The successful completion of the third evacuation mission further strengthens Air Peace’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading airlines in humanitarian operations.

Since commencing operations, the airline has undertaken more than 16 humanitarian and evacuation missions across Africa and other parts of the world, deploying its aircraft and operational expertise to support emergency repatriations, crisis response efforts and other national interventions.

Air Peace reaffirmed its commitment to supporting national priorities, maintaining that it will continue to deploy its resources whenever called upon to assist Nigerians in distress.

The airline said it remains dedicated to ensuring safe, reliable air transport while standing ready to support the Federal Government in future humanitarian operations whenever the need arises.
