The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu and the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, will host the third edition of The Expatriates Business Awards (TEBA) in Abuja as Nigeria seeks to deepen ties with the international business community and recognise the contributions of expatriate investors to the country’s economic growth.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Rotunda Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.
According to the organisers, the annual event has become Nigeria’s leading platform for recognising expatriate businesses, foreign missions, international organisations, migrant communities and other global partners whose investments and collaborations have contributed to national development.
Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu will serve as the Chief Host, while the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, will be the Host of the event.
Also expected at the ceremony are the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed, who will attend as Special Guest of Honour, and the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mahmud Adam Kambari.
The event is also expected to attract ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, senior government officials, business executives, captains of industry and representatives of international organisations.
Speaking ahead of the event, Director of Awards, Odunola Abayomi, said this year’s edition marks another milestone in strengthening Nigeria’s relationship with the global business community.
According to her, “The Expatriates Business Awards has evolved into Nigeria’s foremost platform for recognizing the invaluable contributions of expatriate investors, foreign missions, international organizations, and migrant communities whose investments, innovation, and partnerships continue to create jobs, promote technology transfer, and stimulate sustainable economic growth across the country.”
She added that the 2026 edition would be larger and more impactful, honouring individuals and organisations that have demonstrated commitment to Nigeria through investments, innovation and strategic partnerships.

She noted that TEBA has continued to promote economic diplomacy by recognising excellence among foreign investors and organisations operating in Nigeria while encouraging stronger international participation in the country’s investment landscape.
The organisers described the awards as a trademarked initiative that has established itself as Nigeria’s foremost recognition platform for expatriate businesses and international stakeholders contributing to economic development.
Beyond the presentation of awards, the ceremony will feature cultural displays highlighting Nigeria’s rich heritage, entertainment, and high-level networking sessions aimed at fostering stronger partnerships between government, foreign missions and the private sector.
